About the Residency
Great Meadows Foundation is proud to announce its support of a fully funded, month-long residency at Recontemporary Fondazione ETS in Turin, Italy, taking place from April 1 to April 30, 2026. Eligible artists must have been full-time residents in the Great Meadows Foundation region (the 120 counties of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Floyd and Clark counties in Indiana) since September 2024.
The selected artist will have full access to Recontemporary’s space and technical equipment, and will be supported throughout the residency with curatorial guidance, mentorship, and production assistance. Recontemporary will also facilitate studio visits, networking opportunities, and introductions to local institutions, including museums, galleries, curators, critics, and collectors—helping to build lasting connections within the Italian contemporary art scene.
The residency is intended for artists working in multimedia, video, or digital practices, and provides time and resources for the development of a new project or the continuation of an existing body of work. At the end of the residency, the artist will present either a final outcome or a work-in-progress in a public event hosted at Recontemporary.

This residency coincides with major cultural events in the city, including the EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival (April–May 2026), a citywide celebration of contemporary photography and lens-based media, and the IKT Congress (The International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art), offering the artist a unique opportunity for deeper engagement with international audiences and professionals during their stay in Turin.
